Lesley A. Diehl owes her twisted sense of humor to growing up on a farm, where cows chased her when she herded them in for milking and one ate the lovely red mitten her grandmother knitted for her. Since determining that agriculture wasn’t a good career choice, she has used her country roots and her training as a psychologist to concoct stories designed to make people laugh in the face of murder.
